Winero ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application for finding and joining padel and piklbolas games.

  • Profile photo/avatar (optional)
  • Preferred language for app localization

  • Credits balance (in-app currency)

With your permission, we collect location data to:

  • Find nearby games and venues
  • Show you relevant court locations
  • Help you discover local playing opportunities

You can control location permissions through your device settings. Note that some features require location access to function properly.

1.4 Device and Technical Information

  • Device type (iOS or Android)
  • Device name and model
  • Push notification tokens (for game reminders and updates)
  • App version and operating system version

1.5 Payment Information

Payment transactions are processed by secure third-party payment processors (Neopay and Paysera). We do not store your credit card or banking details. We only retain:

  • Payment transaction history
  • Payment status for game bookings
  • Credits purchased and used

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your user account
  • To facilitate game bookings and connect you with other players
  • To process payments and manage your credits balance
  • To send push notifications about game reminders, player changes, and important updates
  • To match you with games appropriate to your skill level
  • To display your profile to other players in games you join
  • To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
  • To improve our app features, functionality, and user experience
  • To send you service-related announcements when necessary
  • To enforce our terms of service and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

3.1 With Other Users

When you join a game, other participants can see:

  • Your name
  • Your skill level
  • Your profile photo (if provided)
  • Your game statistics

3.2 With Service Providers

  • Venue partners (to confirm bookings and manage court access)
  • Payment processors (Neopay, Paysera) for transaction processing
  • Supabase (our database and authentication provider)
  • Google (when you choose to sign in with Google OAuth)
  • Expo (for push notification delivery)

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., court orders or government agencies).

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information:

  • All passwords are encrypted using secure hashing algorithms
  • OAuth tokens are stored in secure device storage (Expo SecureStore)
  • API requests are authenticated using secure service keys
  • Payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant third-party processors
  • Data transmission is encrypted using SSL/TLS protocols

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Push Notifications

We send push notifications to keep you informed about:

  • Game reminders (24 hours before your scheduled games)
  • Player changes (when someone joins or leaves your game)
  • Payment confirmations and credit updates
  • Important announcements about your bookings

You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. When you sign out, your notification tokens are automatically removed from our system.

6. Third-Party Authentication

If you choose to sign in with Google OAuth, we receive limited information from Google including your email address and basic profile information. This data is used solely for authentication and account creation purposes. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for information about how they handle your data.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. We also retain and use your information as necessary to:

  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Resolve disputes
  • Enforce our agreements
  • Maintain game history for statistical purposes

9. Children's Privacy

Winero is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will delete such information from our systems.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your country of residence. By using Winero, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by:

  • Posting the updated policy in the app
  • Updating the "Last updated" date at the top
  • Sending a push notification for significant changes
